In those days around eight-hundred students of theology would attend Imam Khomeini’s lectures such that the Salmasi Mosque would be packed with students.
Even some students would be forced to sit on the steps of the stairway.
In the four-thousand students capacity of the Qum Theological Seminary for this number of seminary students to attend the Imam’s lectures alone was very striking.
This was in a situation wherein not more than seven or eight students would attend the lectures of some other erudite scholars while in some subjects the number of students would not exceed even four!
