Imam was at his thirties at that time, yet he was the youngest of all the Shiite religious authorities or Marja' who attended the classes of my father-Ayatollah Shahabadi, the Imam’s Islamic theosophy professor-in those days. I can recall quite clearly from my childhood memories that he would come sooner than the rest of the audience and leave later than all of them. Similarly, I remember him as an extremely polite, neat and tidy Sayyid man.
