Chairman of Russian Mufti’s Council, named Imam Khomeini’s movement which leaded to the Islamic revolution of Iran, as an honor for all the Muslims and said that this movement blew a new spirit in Islam’s body.
Based on a report by Mehr news agency, Rawil Gaynetdin, Chairman of Russian Mufti’s Council, the largest Islamic center in this country, in a meeting with the Iranian ambassador to Moscow, Mahmoud Reza Sajjadi, asked for development in cooperations and expansion of relations between Islamic societies in Russia and I.R.Iran.
Gaynetdin named the expansion of relations with Iran as a great step for the Islamic society of Russia and remarked that he always admires Iran’s high position in the Islamic world and also the Islamic republics hard tries for expanding Islam throughout the world.
The leader of Muslims in Russia also named the Islamic revolution as a great phenomenon during the last century, and said: “Imam Khomeini’s movement which leaded to the Islamic revolution of Iran, is an honor for all the Muslims and it blew a new spirit in Islam’s body.”
The Iranian ambassador who attended this meeting stated that he has always followed the logical policies of Russian Mufti’s Council and that he has stated this several times in meetings with other ambassadors and asked them to do a good study on the provocative acts of destructive forces who are trying to make divisions among the Muslim society and between Muslims and Christian Orthodoxes.
