The great scholar of the Muslim world made remarks during a meeting with members of cultural committee of the parliament.
The prominent religious figure went onto say that Imam laid very strong foundations of culture which lasted for several years to come. For an instance, the masses stood behind Imam while they couldn't prove their real power during the constitutional movement and the military coup against Mossadegh's government in 1953.
Ayatollah Javadi-Amoli said that the religious beliefs and faith must be strengthened among the general public which will boost the spirit of unity among the masses and the government officials.
Some strong pillars and foundations have been illustrated and defined for the Islamic system in authentic sources. Imam Ali (peace be upon him) recommended in a letter to his sincere companion Malik al-Ashtar that the people and masses should be considered as very basic pillar of the Islamic system and government.
The masses can become staunch supporters of the Islamic system when their thought and religious spirit are enhanced.
Grand Ayatollah also noted that the Islamic seminaries and universities can play very key role in strengthening the religious and spiritual foundations of the masses' beliefs system.
The Muslim scholar concluded that some ones have mixed up and mistaken between the preaching and education. The issues must be debated transparently and the truth should be defined in scholarly manner for the people.
In this way they will become back-bone and pillar of the Islamic system.
