Seyyed Hassan Khomeini stresses to maintain high standards of education

The grandson of the late founder of the Islamic Republic has stressed on high-quality of knowledge at seminaries and universities.

 Sayyed Hassan Khomeini's made remarks during a ceremony of cultural directors, book week participants, librarians who had gathered to renew their pledge with dynamic thought and ideals of Imam.  

 “Today, we see it is fashionable to have two and even three doctorate degrees, but they are not as literate as level to bachelor's degree. In such situation, the standards unfortunately have been reduced,” the reputed scholar said.

He further said that many numbers and figures that are presented regarding the education and production of knowledge doesn’t seem accurate.

Some got expertise in writing but with not meeting at least minimum standards with regard to choosing topics or quality of contents.

“Mere figures or numbers are not enough for the cultural richness of a country. Many reprints of books are related to such as publication of Ibn Sirin that interprets dreams, not valuable books. “

Seyyed Hassan Khomeini also said that thesis written or presented at university should meet standards.

There are also these quantifications about thesis writing in universities. There were also cases when  with repeated thesis three  people acquired doctorate degrees
