It has been reported through a series of memoirs that Imam Khomeini had put a great amount of confidence in his son Ahmad in all thin and thick times.
Seyyed Ahmad had always remained with Imam during several years of exile and never gave up Imam even for a while after the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979.
Experts and analysts believe that Imam’s beloved son had played a greater role in protecting Imam against all possible threats over the years in exile and in the homeland. Seyyed Ahmad Khomeini himself played a greater role and contributed to the victory of the Islamic Revolution at the sensitive juncture of history.
