It has been recalled through a series of memoirs that Imam Khomeini in a speech which was delivered months after the victory of the Islamic revolution compared the physician doctors with the clerics.
Addressing a group of medics, Imam explained that you physically treat the people and we are assigned to spiritually cure the society.
It was thought to be one of the most interesting comparisons Imam made between the doctors and the clergymen.
