Imam Khomeini had issued special guidelines regarding using office phone and instructed that it shouldn’t be used for personal works.
Imam emphasized refraining from misuse of public funds or resources under any circumstance and always said: “the telephone should be only used for necessary work.
Imam used to avoid calling for unnecessary work and always keep the house lights off as much as needed. Imam hismelf prayed in the dark. If the extra light was on, he would become very upset.
Imam always was very careful about the correct use of resources and acted in a way as if he was seeing the consequences of wrong doing or sins right at the moment of the performance of the task or job.
