The grandson of Imam Khomeini has issued a message of condolence for the passing of the late Ayatollah Haj Sheikh Yusuf Saanei. The full text of his message is as follows:
The tragedy of the passing of the Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Yusuf Sanei, may God have mercy on him, caused great grief. That divine scholar was among the most prominent pupils of the great Imam who, while being strong and proficient in the jurisprudence of the Ahl al-Bayt, paid attention to the necessities of daily life in the context of the today’s world.
Courage along with love for the Ahl al-Bayt and the late Imam had had turned him into a scholar familiar with today’s circumstances.
Undoubtedly, the long presence in the Imam's lesson and the continuous effort in the difficult years of the struggle and the glorious period of the Islamic Revolution is a great achievement for him in the presence of God Almighty.
I offer my condolences to Hazrat Baqiyatullah (PBUH), the seminaries, his students and devotees, as well as to his noble family members, and I ask God Almighty to exalt his ranks.
