Following curbing an uprising and sending Imam into exile, Shah agents had launched a heavy-handed crackdown to silence Imam’s supporters.
Several gatherings were under scrutiny and movements of Imam’s supporters were placed under restrictions.
But by passage of the time, all plans by Shah were foiled as Imam started to monitor the Islamic movement from abroad and revolution kept moving forward.
Imam returned to him homeland with great triumph after spending 15 years in exile. The revolution gained victory in 1979 and its impacts were felt across region and the world.
