Ayatollah Seyyed Hassan Khomeini was warmly received by devotees and pilgrims who had been gathered at the holy site to pay homage to ideals of Imam Khomeini.
He also led congregational noon prayers which were attended by a large number of pilgrims, seminary and university academics and people from various walks of life.
Seyyed Hassan Khomeini also responded the feelings of people and their queries on various religious and spiritual issues.
The spiritual gathering at Imam’s holy mausoleum comes on the fourth day of Nowruz, which marks the advent of spring.
Norooz, which fell on March 20 this year, marked the first day of spring and the beginning of the Iranian solar.
This comes as an exhibition and several religious and cultural programs have been organized for those devotees visiting the holy site during the spring holidays.
Imam Khomeini’s holy mausoleum which is located on the outskirts of the Iranian capital has become beacon of cultural, social, religious and spiritual activities and gatherings. The holy site is also visited by thousands of pilgrims, devotees, intellectuals and tourists from across Iran and the world from across Iran and the world each year.
The victory of the Islamic Revolution under leadership of Imam Khomeini in 1979 changed the balance of power across the Mideast region and defended the rights of the entire Muslim Ummah and the oppressed people across the world.
